At the Bottom of Everything

Music can really give the listener perspective on life and all different aspects of it, almost like are minds are molded to look and think differently as we listen to a song or project as a whole. One song that has really influenced my perspective is a song called "At the Bottom of Everything," by Bright Eyes.

The song starts of with the artist telling a story of a woman who is on a plane and is reading about a third world country. She begins to start conversation with a man on the plane and in the coming moments, an engine failure happens. The plane is crashing and the woman asks the man where they are going, and with positive outlooks, the man says "A party, your birthday party." The song then begins to play and it is upbeat and happy, a contradiction from what is expected.

Bright Eyes begins to elaborate on life in the song and it gets into how irrelevant we all are in the long run and its depressing but also insightful. "Im happy just because, i found out im really no one," is how the song ends. Id love to hear what other people think of the song so PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU DO CHECK OUT THE SONG.
