Flexibility With Music

Something I strongly believe in is that, your taste in music reflects the person you are or the other way around. To open your mind to different types of music opens your mind to different experiences and emotions that different music evoke. To be open minded and have perspective on everyday life and the world, I believe, the first step is to open your mind to music.

Of course there is music that we just can't stand, but give things a chance, read the lyrics, analyze a bit. For me, I go from hardcore rap to punk rock to The Beatles to Billy Joel. To be able to listen and vibe to so many different categories really takes you out of the world for a bit and gives you a perspective on different experiences that the artist raps, sings, or speaks about and in a sense connecting you with these experiences and giving you more perspective.

Free your mind, free your soul, and search, experience, live.

  1. I totally agree with exploring music, especially with the huge variety of music out there. Nowadays especially there are so many genres and different kinds of music being produced right now that are really innovative and great. Then again - no one will like all music they try. Also important to remember is that it isn't always just about the lyrics, music can still be a masterpiece without a single word.

  2. Really deep, I agree with you opening your mind to different music is like opening your mind to experiences in life. I personally like all kinds of music, and have some that really annoy me. Sometimes people hate on certain genres and that's just really stupid. It's all about music appreciation.

  3. I agree with you here. I think having an open mind to music can open yourself to new experiences and feelings. It can also help you make connections with new people. I like finding new music, especially if i turn out liking it.
